Dilip Chhabria-owned car design boutique DC Design and former Maruti Suzuki chief Jagdish Khattar promoted multi-brand car sales and servicing network Carnation Auto joined hands on Tuesday to offer car enthusiasts custom-made cars at affordable prices.

Carnation Auto, promoted by the former chief executive of Maruti Suzuki, Jagdish Khattar, has tied up with prominent automobile design company Dilip Chhabria Designs to provide customisation services in the country.

India's leading car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India unveiled a prototype small multi-purpose concept vehicle called the R3 at the Auto Expo 2010 on Tuesday. The concept vehicle has been designed and developed by Maruti Suzuki in India within a span of nine months.

Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), the largest auto maker in the country, has announced to launch a new Maruti Van in India by the end of the fiscal. This yet-to-launch van will replace Maruti Versa, an MPV.

Swati Khandelwal reports.The Ritz has already been showcased in the Auto Expo and this car was expected to launch sometime in the coming fiscal. Sources say that the exact date would be around May 13-14 that is the second week of May. Sources from Maruti, on the other hand, say it will be launched in the next fiscal and do not comment on the date.

Suzuki Kizashi, a flagship mod of japanese company, is all set to enter Indian car market. The Maruti Suzuki Kizashi will be showcased at Auto Expo 2010 in Delhi, begining from Tuesday.

Initially petrol engine variant of Maruti Cervo wil be launched. The pricing of Maruti Cervo is targeted for middle income groups in India espcially the first time buyers of cars in India. Maruti Suzuki Cervo in India will compete with Tata Nano and other small cars from domestic and foreign players.

Leading auto manufacturer Volkswagen plans to launch a new small car in Indian market as a joint venture with Japanese auto manufacturer Suzuki.
