Pakistani authorities have put in place tight Security measures to ensure the safety of pilgrims, including over 1,500 Sikhs from India, visiting the country to celebrate the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at the Mumbai airport detained a person at the international terminal on Friday morning on grounds of "suspicion".Interrogation by the police, however, revealed that 23-year-old Dubai national Ahmed Ali, who came to Mumbai for medical treatment, had been frequenting the city airport as he had no money and was hoping to meet some compatriot who could help him buy a return ticket.

The Central Bureau of Investigation CBI on Friday said it has busted a railway recruitment scam and arrested four people, including two Indian Army personnel, for duping applicants by promising them appointments as ticket collectors.
