There will soon be a local variant of Google Earth, the iconic and controversial service from Internet search company Google Inc. that allows ordinary people to take a close look at most parts of the world on their computer screens, using satellite images and maps.
The ISRO's revolutionary earth mapping tool ‘Bhuvan' was launched here today. The Bhuvan toolbar can be downloaded from http://bhuvan.nrsc.gov.in/.The website is available in beta version
ISRO will unveil its version of Google Earth, Bhuvan the iconic mapping service for the common man to zoom into any part of the world on their personal computer using satellite images.
The common man can now view sharper pictures of any part of the world on their personal computer using satellite images with ISRO today unveiling 'Bhuvan', its version of Google Earth.
While Downloading Google Earth setup from Google, we used to get a small setup file called GoogleEarthSetup.exe which is of 534kb size approx. We have to run this small setup file to get full setup of Earth. Sometimes, it becomes annoying if you have low internet speed or no connectivity. But now you dont have to face this types of situations, as because Google has introduced the standalone installer for Google Earth
