Mounting an attack on the Railway Budget for being "West Bengal-centric", the Opposition on Wednesday charged Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee with showering "special affection" on her home state going to assembly polls in two years.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today presented State Budget for financial year 2010-2011. He presented the budget for the second time in his second tenure.The budget mainly focussed on welfare of common man. But some of the things definitely got costlier which was against expectations of a common person.

Railway minister Lalu Prasad on Friday announced the introduction of 43 new trains. While fare for ordinary trains was reduced by Rupee 1 for journey above ten kilometers, fares of all AC classes were reduced by 2%. Similarly, second class and sleeper class fares for all mail, express and ordinary passenger trains were reduced by 2% for tickets costing Rs 50 and more.

Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee Wednesday alleged there was a conspiracy to kill her, saying a car with a 'press' sticker on it tried to hit her vehicle, but police said it was only a case of some TV journalists seeking to talk to her.
