The Mumbai police on Wednesday filed an exhaustive 73-page chargesheet in a local court against Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray and 20 others in connection with the violence during the railway recruitment examination last year.

Shalini Thackeray is a Punjabi born in Uttar Pradesh, but she has been fielded in the Lok Sabha elections by the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), aparty widely perceived to be anti-north Indian. What's more, she is a Thackeray.

In a bid to woo young voters, who could play a decisive role in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray today launched party website.

Addressing a press conference here, Thackeray said, “The new portal is interactive so that visitors will be able to give suggestions or post questions.”

The Central Bureau of Investigation CBI on Friday said it has busted a railway recruitment scam and arrested four people, including two Indian Army personnel, for duping applicants by promising them appointments as ticket collectors.

Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray was Thursday admitted to Lilavati Hospital for what party office-bearers described as a “routine medical check-up”.

Thackeray, 82, who is said to be suffering from a minor lung infection, was scheduled to address a crucial party state executive committee meeting along with son Udhav, at the Rang Sharda Auditorium in Bandra.
