The Bridport Prize was instituted in 1973 and is now a prestigious writing award. Contestents are free to write either Short stories or Poems which should adhere to the Contest Rules. The work of the contestant must be original and should not be published else where. Former Bridport winners have gone on to become established novelists and poets. Winning entries may be published in an annual anthology brought out by the Bridport Prize Organization. Read more at
