Tory and Labour controlled council tax bills are set to rise more than thirty times the rate of inflation, according to new figures from the Local Government Association.Council tax is set to rise on average by three percent, even though inflation stands at 0.1 per cent. The increase will mean an average bill in England will go up by £34 from £1,145 to £1,179.35.
