Lyme disease gets spread due to Borrelia burgdorferi bacterial infection through bites of infected ixodes ticks that carry the bacteria, this ticks are nothing but deer ticks, western black legged ticks that are smaller than common dog or cattle ticks, this bacterial infection does not gets transmitted from person to person or from animal to person.
