After penetration of anisakis worm into the intestine it attracts white blood cells known as eosinophils and macrophages and forms a mass of immune tissues called granuloma, complication in case of worm is not coughed up or vomited out it even may penetrate the intestinal tissues which causes severe immune response which is similar to appendicitis.
