Mumbai-based Idea Cellular Limited, an Aditya Birla Group company, has lined up an investment of about Rs 1,000 crore in three years on its telecom operations in Orissa. The cellular operator aimed to cover about 15,000 towns and villages in all the 30 districts of the state by the end of 2009-10.

BPO major Genpact on Friday said its net income fell by 26.38 per cent to $34.6 million (Rs 162 crore) for the three month period ending December 31, 2009.In the year-ago period, the company had a net income of $47 million, Genpact said in a statement. The companys revenue rose by 5 per cent from year-ago period to $296.9 million in the fourth quarter of 2009.
