But Gonzaga used a 19-1 run midway through the second half to suppress the Zips and win, 77-64."I really like how our guys hung with this game," Bulldogs Coach Mark Few said. "It was a grinder."Akron had a 49-43 lead after making 8 of 13 three-point attempts but, with 15 minutes left to play, Gonzaga began to show why it has shed the mid-major label that is affixed to so many schools from non-BCS conferences.

The cause of death was not immediately released.

He’s not such a terrific hire.It isn’t that Fox can’t coach. He won in the WAC, which is a nice mid-tier league. But the Western Athletic Conference isn’t the SEC East, where he’ll be working against Billy Donovan (two NCAA titles) and John Calipari (two Final Fours), plus the showman Bruce Pearl and the erudite Kevin Stallings and the rising star Darrin Horn.

According to Akron Zoo officials, the zoo will acquire at least seven new animals — three tigers, a snow leopard, a red panda and, for the first time, sloth bears, one of which is shown at right. Some of the new animals are expected to arrive and be on exhibit as early as May. Although exact dates are awaiting confirmation, sometime this spring, three tiger cubs will arrive in Akron.

The poor play continued the next day against Ohio State and that didn't work out so well. Yes, MSU didn't make shots. Yes Ohio State did.

Final game score was 53-47 UCONN. It wasn’t easy for the Huskies though and they actually trailed in the game at one spot by 9 points. They were held to just 12 points in the first half which ranks among the lowest point outputs in a half during the tournament.
