Former University of Minnesota women's basketball star Lindsay Whalen is coming home.Whalen, a point guard for the WNBA's Connecticut Sun, has been traded to the Minnesota Lynx for guard Renee Montgomery and the Lynx's No. 1 overall pick in April's college draft, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

“With the first pick in the 2009 W.N.B.A. draft, the Atlanta Dream select Angel McCoughtry,” Orender said.The 6-foot-1 McCoughtry, a three-time all-American forward from Baltimore, finished second best to Connecticut in Tuesday’s championship round. But two days later, she was reveling in first prize. She will head to a second-year team that has been reloading after a 4-30 season.

My disdain for Montgomery Gentry is well documented. However, I will admit that they have some songs I do enjoy. I really like "Speed", "Cold One Coming On", "Hillbilly Shoes", and "Blackjack Fletcher and Mississippi Sam" a whole lot. I can listen to their music as long as I do not have to look at them.
