Follow the below mentioned steps to turn on the Windows Firewall in Windows server 2008:
1. Click on Start and open Control Panel.
2. Click on Security and then click on Windows Firewall.
3. Click on Turn Windows Firewall on or Off.
4. If prompted for administrator password, provide the information.
5. Click On (recommended) and then on OK.
