Follow the below mentioned steps to determine the type of Sound card installed in your computer:
1. Click on Start and then click on Programs.
2. Click on Accessories and click on System Information.
3. In the system Information Window Click on '+' symbol next to Components.
4. Click on Sound device.
5. In the right side of the window you will find the information about the Sound Card.
