Do the following steps in order to restore a profile backup to a different location in the Firefox. Initially you need to close or exit the firefox browser. Later, you need to create a new profile in the desired location and exit the Profile Manager. Now locate the backed up profile folder on the hard drive. Copy the contents of the old profile folder and place it in the new profile folder. Finally you can start firefox the normal way.
