The Patents Office has thought over to centralize processes by establishing an integrated IT platform connecting all its offices in order to boost transparency in the system. The new process would do away with the current process of assigning specific applications to examiners as chosen by the controllers in charge of Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai regional offices.
