To install Internet Explorer 8 on Windows Vista, your system should be up to date. Follows the steps below in order to check for updates:
1. Click on Start, then click on All Programs and then click on Windows Update.
2. In the left pane, click on Check for Updates and wait for few seconds.
3. If you find any updates, click on Install updates. If you are prompted for administrator password or confirmation then provide the information.
