Myanmar Cyclone Nargis has recorded 10,000 deaths already and apparently this number will rise due to missing relative who are not been located. Cyclone Nargis having 190 km per hour winds has devastated and displaced millions of people. Houses, major infrastructures like hospitals, electric posts and even seasoned tress were left ripped off after the disaster.

People in the five states where severely affected are facing the after shock, their supply of food, water and shelter, especially water is one of the biggest problem they are facing now.

Corazon “Cory” Aquino became famous after the People Power Revolution. Time Magazine selected Mrs. Aquino as Woman of the Year and also nominated to receive the Nobel Peace Prize in 1986.

Her reign as President of Philippines was struck by a number of coup attempts, but had finished her term of six years.

During the past few months Mrs. Aquino was active on her social engagements joining rallies particularly on the National Broadband Network deal of the Gloria Administration to China’s ZTE Corporation due to allegedly anomalous transactions. She also urges President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to resign.

All of her friends, political allies and supporters are offering prayer for her fast recovery.

Their previous fight that had been occurred last 2004 was a draw. Pacquiao had made Marques fall down, but immediately recovered and continued the fight up to the last round. Marquez on the other hand had created a wound in Pacquiao’s upper right eyebrow. For this, the judges had came out of a draw.

Marquez is the reigning champion on this up coming bout and his title is at stake for this fight. Everybody in the boxing arena is excited on this bout. The previous fight was an evidence that this rematch will rock again the boxing world.

Makati (Philippines) - A huge group of anti Aroyo Government show their force at Makati City Philippines today. According to the estimate of the organizer there are more or less than 85,000 people who join the rally today asking for the resignation of President Aroyo.

The call for President Gloria Aroyo resignation was started when senate starting to investigate the so called Philippines NBN - ZTE project which include 130 Million dollar kick back of some government officials including the president and his family.

The Arm Forces of the Philippines and Philippine National Police over reacted to this big rally according to local news tv. PNP are not allowing groups who came from out side of Metro Manila to join the rally at Makati.

But the said rally was end peacefully….

The Broadband deal issue started around September last year when the deal allegedly did not materialize due some issues about the rival company of ZTE which is the Amsterdam Holdings Inc (AHI) represented by Joey de Venecia, son of former Speaker Rep. Jose De Venecia.

The deal came out of the open when Joey de Venecia reacted that there is something within the deal - an overprice to be received by former COMELEC Chairman Abalos and First Gentleman Atty. Mike Arroyo as commission or kickback. According to Joey, this deal is being manipulated by these two big political personalities.

The National Broadband Network (NBN) deal reaches $329 million. Chairman Abalos even resigned from office to give way to the ongoing investigation. The big issue started when Chairman Abalos allegedly want to protect his $130 million commission as part of the $329 million NBN project to be distributed some part of it to the First Gentleman Mike Arroyo and other Government officials involved.

Due to the amount involved, to be paid by the Philippine Government for 20 years if the project materialized has made the Senate to investigate the processes of the deal. That on the first Senate investigation, some rulings before the contract is signed, there are anomalies involved.

After the exposé of Joey de Venecia, star witness Rodolfo Noel “Jun” Lozada, a former Government Official too came out of the open to testify the alleged irregularity committed within the deal. Jun Lozada mentioned lots of things about the irregularities of the NBN deal. He also mentioned that there really are unusual processes being done in the procurement system of the Government.

The Senate Blue Ribbon committee is still investigating the deal. It became national concern that made some cause oriented organization pledge support to the star witness and to the issue itself to know what had happened on the NBN deal.

Based on the status of the boxer, he can extend help to the people even if he will not be a congressman. Specially today that he wins again another huge amount that if be extended to the poor he will be more praised by his countrymen.

Talented but feared is how would be hopefuls in search of fame feel about entering a show like the X Factor.
Contestants know what to expect and are prepared to listen to comments on their performance, but what do they get an ear bashing of abuse. You can not blame the next Whitney Houston and Marvin Gaye’s holding back from entering the show all because they need to visit weight watchers.
Most of the time the remarks projected from the judge’s mouth can be very humiliating. Comments can be destructive not constructive towards the finalist where their appearance/weight or how they have a pimple to many is disclosed in front of millions.
God damn it. this is a talent show. How many of you sit back in shock when the results are announced and the most talented are ushered through the exit door.
Let us change the rules of the X Factor so that everyone gets a fair crack of the whip, how you ask?
To make it fair we call the show the Blind Factor where the judges at no time throughout the contest get to see the aspiring hopefuls, because all singing is performed behind a screen. This way you will be sure the winner of the contest is judged purely on talent alone.
There are loop holes where fellow colleagues that normally work alongside the judges will break the rules and give some inside information to influence the judge’s decision in making the right choice. This is easily solved by whisking the panel of judges off to a safe house in the country where they have no contact with the outside world whatsoever.
Can you imagine Sharon Louis and Simon under the same roof? It would be a great making of a fly on the wall series.
Each week the judges of the X Factor will be allowed to ask the finalists questions in hope to build a bigger picture surrounding the background of the entrant. Then the panel have to provide an image of the person they have conjured up in their mind at the finals before the screen is pulled back revealing the winner.
This is the only solution for fairness in a competition as big as this and a guarantee that the person going through each week is voted in purely for their talent.
Carmen Miranda was never seen without a basket of fruit on head, Ian Drury was maimed and Stevie Wonder blind, regardless of their appearance or disabilities all these artists went on to top the music charts and why, because they had the X Factor.

Choosing by casting our vote to our favored candidate to be the leader is a right.  Today, voter are becoming more aware of the capabilities and abilities of the candidates.  But on the other side of the election, business with potential market during campaign period boosts their profit in double.

“Gold Goons Guns” is a machinery that accompanies election.  As featured in the Reporter’s Notebook of GMA7, the backyard production of guns grew in double due to election.

The next issue to be heard by the unaware voters will be the vote buying and flying voters - a problem that are recurring every now and then.

After the election, the contents of all the newspapers will be cheating. If the a candidate wins, he/she cheated, but if a candidate losses, he/she was cheated.  This is the connotation of an ordinary citizen.

After proclamation, the candidate will then take the seat of governance.  This leader will then make a unique move disregarding the previous plan that ha been started by the unseated leader. Then again after, a new plan will be formulated, to be disregarded again afterwards.

This indicates somehow the idea that history repeat itself.  We are repeating again and again formulating plans that is not achievable because the range of action requires a time that lapses the period of office.

Long term plans are more reliable than shorter plans, yet nobody wants to be shadowed by another, unless a leader wins the next election then the plan will materialize.  But winning for the second time requires a double effort during the period of office.  And an excellent job should be done within the governance period - a factor that makes our leaders formulate a project of their own, belittling the first project left by the unseated leader.

In view of this events, history does repeat itself. Juan, as the ordinary citizen has nothing to do with it, but to wait his unnatural death.
