Bajaj Auto, the second largest two-wheeler maker in India, is hoping to sell around 85,000 units of Pulsars a month in India with the introduction of New Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS. At present, the company sells 50,000 Pulsars in a month. Now, Bajaj hopes to sell 35,000 more units of the flagship model. The monthly target will help them to touch goal of one million per year in 2010-11 for the Bajaj Pulsar brand.

Bajaj Auto has just begun running an interesting promotional campaign for its star bike, the XCD 135.Over the next fortnight, customers have a chance to own this bike for free if they decide to buy any other motorcycle either from Bajaj's stable or from competing brands after taking a test ride on the XCD 135. S Sridhar, CEO for Bajaj's two-wheeler business, said he was confident of this bike's performance and under this promotional scheme one XCD 135 would be given for free at each of the 480 Bajaj dealerships across the country within the next fortnight.
