Indian Premier League, Season 3, is scheduled to begin from March but the competition among the teams have already started with the auction. The owners and officials of all the teams participated in the auction of IPL3, which started on January 19, 2010 in Mumbai. As most of the teams have retained their key players, there are speculations about the fate of new players who are up for auction this year.

Indian Premier League (IPL) is going to start from next week and this has now become the most attractive and largest source of revenue for Indian Cricket. It is the second season of IPL and the first season to place in 2008 and it was a huge success in terms of TV rights and revenue.

With the reassurances of the Union Home Minister P Chidambaram that the IPL will be held and that it would be held in India, and with IPL Chairman giving every reassurance that a via media will be found, an alternative schedule for IPL2 is expected to be disclosed today or early tomorrow.
