After TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) won the battle for a separate Telangana state, by observing a 11-day fast-unto-death, the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha (GJM) announced an indefinite hunger strike to press for a separate Gorkhaland state. GJM has been demanding a separate Gorkhaland state to be carved out of northern parts of West Bengal.

KCR's health may decline rapidly: Doctor
Doctors monitoring the health of TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao said on Tuesday that his health may start deteriorating in the next 24 hours. KCR, who has been on a fast-unto-death since November 29, is admitted to the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) where he is surviving on intravenously administered fluids.
