Ram Gopal Varma loves to spring surprises on his audiences. Currently, he is busy with his tri-lingual Rakta Charitra, based on the real life story of Paritala Ravi.

Ram Gopal Varma is known for making typical films and in most of the films he tries to horrify the audiences but hardly succeeds in his attempts. In his latest film Agyaat he has introduced Nitin in Bollywood with Priyanka Kothari opposite him. The Telugu dubbed version Adavi was also released the same day, with Nattikumar as producer under the banner of Visakha Talkies.

Film-maker Ramgopal Varma will move the Bombay high court on Monday against the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for banningthe promo of his Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Rann. The CBFC rejected the promo on the grounds that the lyrics of a song were a distorted version of the National Anthem.

Ram Gopal Varma has signed actor Vivek Oberoi to play the lead role in his upcoming movie Rakta Charitra, which is based on the life of Paritala Ravi.

Varma says, "After thinking hard on every actor both known and unknown I have finally zeroed in on Vivek Oberoi as the most ideal choice to play Paritala Ravi.
