Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray has received a fresh death threat, this time in the form of a letter, from the Sarvodaya Samaj in Bihar. Written and signed by Ashok Kumar Singh, who claims to be the founder president of the Samaj, the letter states that ‘five revolutionaries of the Samaj have decided that one of them will kill Thackeray before December 25.’

Continuing its agitation for the cause of sons of soil, Raj Thackeray led MNS has written a letter to State Bank of India (SBI) for considering locals for the new jobs.

Ayesha Takia’s father-in-law, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Abu Asim Azmi was physically abused by a MLA of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) during his swearing in ceremony on Monday in Mumbai. The ruckus happened when MLA Abu Asim Azmi started taking his oath in Hindi, in spite of MNS’ demand that all legislators should take the pledge in Marathi.

MNS chief Raj Thackeray was on Monday arrested in a 2008 riot case after he surrendered before a local court which released him on bail on the condition that he would not make provocative speeches.

In a bid to woo young voters, who could play a decisive role in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray today launched party website.

Addressing a press conference here, Thackeray said, “The new portal is interactive so that visitors will be able to give suggestions or post questions.”
